Reading some of the many reviews of SquareTrade on-line I was struck by the extremely high ratio of those who rated them well and those who did not, and further struck by the "details" of those who did not: They seemed generally to be those who expected something for nothing, or who did not follow the 'rules' of the contract with SquareTrade.

    For example: http://www.epinions.com/pr-Online_St...quareTrade_Inc

Overall the ratings appear to put SquareTrade very, very much on the side of being a good, honest, customer oriented company.

    YMMV.

You might be better off replacing it with the ST.
When you dont need 3G (just reading), make sure you switch to Airplane Mode, 3G will be off, the battery life will be extended almost like 5x times

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I wanted to give two thumbs up to SquareTrade for such great service.

I had the original Nook 3G that I purchased at release for $259. I also bought the SquareTrade warranty the same day. My original Nook was replaced under warranty approximately nine months later by B&N for the dreaded cracked page forward button. So I received my replacement and enjoyed it until last week when I noticed the same (right side) page forward button had cracked!!! Well, I called SquareTrade on Thursday since I am out of warranty with B&N and explained the issue. With no questions asked, the customer service rep stated that they would send me a shipping label via email and refund my PayPal account for the full $259 purchase price. Needless to say, I was pretty impressed and was happy knowing that an extended warranty finally paid off for me! I shipped the damaged Nook back on Friday and about 20 minutes after it was scanned in at the UPS receiving facility, I had notification that my PayPal account had already received my $259 refund.

Before we hung up the representative just asked me to consider another SquareTrade warranty when I purchased my next item. I assured him that I would be a repeat customer!
