We should pitch in, buy it and give it to Rachel then get our boards back.

I would LOVE to do that!! But I think there is more to running a site than the initial cost. I understood Rachel got out because it was too time consuming and the monthly costs were too high.

A little late to the party....as usual. As sad as it is to hear Rachel has passed on the keys to the site I definitely understand what goes into maintaining a website and most times the cost is the least of the concern. Its a lot of work. Looks like things are running smoothly. Ill have to stick around this time.

Ewww... looks like I signed up right in the middle of something!

I've been around the forum game for about 10 years (member, not operator). I've been a member of a couple sites purchased by VerticalScope in the past with mixed results. Hopefully this isn't one of their worst ones.

From reading this thread it seems like it's not starting out smoothly...

I have to say I'm not too impressed with this site. I had posts pending approval for nearly 3 weeks before they showed up. I've wanted to contribute to this community, but having new members require approval of their first posts, but the admin not paying any attention at all has almost completely turned me away. I hope this site can pull itself back up, but I have a feeling other sites out there are going to start getting larger while this one sits still.

We will have tons of competition in the future with ClubNook and NookForum.com.
