Default convert kindle book to nook?

Has anyone figured out how to convert them yet?
There is a book coming out in March, I have been waiting for!!!
But... amazon shows it coming out in ebook but BN does not

So thats why I am wondering.
I have so many books on my nook to read but I really want this one.
Its part 5!! I have waited so long but dont want to wait longer just to get it in ebook.

and the thought of going back to paper

    thanks.

If the eBook contains DRM (Copy Protection) you'd have to figure out how to get around it, if it doesn't have DRM, Calibre may be able to convert it to PDF or EPUB format. I've personally not tried it on the Mobi format used by Amazon, but I have converted non-DRM PDB eBooks to EPUB so that I could read them on my Sony Pocket Edition. Some come out better than others, I think it depends on the original formatting... Calibre does have the capability to change and manipulate the formatting, but I haven't figured out that part yet...

Another option is to check your local library to see if they will get it (if you have a library that carries eBooks). Most Libraries carry EPUB and PDF eBooks. My library advertises new eBooks and you can get on a waiting list before they actually receive the eBook and they e-mail you when it's available for download.

I am noticing also that B&N's e-books are often not listed as available for preorder like Amazon's are. Therefore, once the book is out, it may be available on B&N, even thought it doesn't look that way yet.

I downloaded one of the free books from amazon and Calibre converted it just fine, so as long as the DRM isn't involved you should be fine.

I decided to checkout the list of titles I mostly read on DTBs that are not on B&N ebook list. I found a great deal more available so downloaded one for .99 and Calibre converted it to epub flawlessly. I doubt that book had DRM.

Folks, we're getting very close to telling people how to remove DRM in this thread. Let's not cross that line.

Thanks for being cautious, it is something we newbies need to understand so I reviewed what I did and I really don't think this brings up any legal issues. I actually purchased this from Amazon because I could not find it on any other site so the digital property transfers to me. Besides, the purchase was a .prc file. I looked some more and learned from Mobiread that if the product details say: "Simultaneous Device Usage: Unlimited", then it is non-DRM.

You're right, Dale, using Calibre to convert a non-DRM'd ebook is just fine. I was mainly directing my comments to Chris3G. His post was in a gray area so I edited it and posted a mild warning about telling people how to strip DRM. No one actually crossed the line, though.

So there was one book Amazon had that B&N still doesn't have so I downloaded "kindle" to my desktop and downloaded the ebook ... and then I tried to do the Calibre as was suggested here ... but can't figure it out. Any suggestions?
