Default Whats everyone reading now and/or read lately

As for me haven't been doing that much reading lately. Found that I hardly read any more as well. Have to say do have times like this and others don't. Guess it depends on the book itself as well.

    I Was a Dancer, Jacques d'Amboise

    Finished reading

Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin’s Crosshairs, Levi Johnston

It was worth the purchase and read. Even though it took time to consider it. Have to say that I believe Levi’s side of the story and I’m starting to like him. Not Bristol and Sarah’s side of the story like I did before I this. Starting to not like both of them.

Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far, Bristol Palin and Nancy French

Again, it was definitely worth the purchase and read.

This is taken from another thread and/response that I have done regarding Bristol's mother and Tripp's grandmother.

What is/are Sarah Palin stance/s on family leave act (maternity, paternity, etc)? The reason why I'm asking this here because she didn't bring up in neither of her books. In my opinion this should be a paid one. It should also nation and worldwide as well.

Is there anyone else on here besides whom are getting beyond tired of her still being in the spotlight? That also goes her putting her husband, kids, rest of her family, and friends being in the spotlight and etc. Even though I'm still like her as a person then a politician.

She should just go back to her husband and kids. Instead being in the spotlight. Do feel sorry for her kids and the rest of family and everyone whom is associated with her. Because politics have truly ruined her and her husband for sure. Yeah I could be wrong about this.

Finished reading these few books a few mo back.

The Lost Girls: Three Friends. Four Continents.: One Unconventional Detour Around the World, Jennifer Baggett, Holly C. Corbett, Amanda Pressner. It was worth the read. Especially, returning the hardcover because found it was little worn. Had to wait until the paperback was released to read it.

Mountain of Crumbs: A Memoir, Elena Gorokhova a week ago. It was worth read. Especially, since found I learned more about the former Soviet Union then what I already knew about before reading your memoir. Can't wait to read more of Ms Gorokhova's life and/or her mothers life now.

A Father's Love: One Man's Unrelenting Battle to Bring His Abducted Son Home, David Goldman. WOW what a memoir this was and thank you, Mr. Goldman for writing about your ordeal to get Sean back home.

I just finished "Ready Player One" by Ernie Cline. If you were a geek in the 80's like I was, you'll enjoy it.

    Default Victorian mystery

I"m reading Anne Perry's Pentecost Alley. I've read so many of these Victorian mysteries that they're starting to run together, but whenever I feel my blood pressure has dropped too far or I'm too discontented with my life for no real reason, spending a few hours with Thomas Pitt, Charlotte, Emily, and all the rest make me glad I live in an age and place where appearance, manners, and opinion don't matter as much, where life isn't so brutal for so many, and where women have rights, can hold down interesting jobs, and can wear clothing that doesn't involve a corset or a bustle.
Besides that, this is a good story with plot twists that keep me guessing and then second-guessing my assumptions.
    Have characters, must write.

The book I recently finished that has been HAUNTING me is Susan Ee's Angelfall. In the spirit of YA, OMG! SQUEE! *ahem* It was really rather wonderful. Probably the best book I've read this year, and that is saying quite a lot. It filled in that empty hole in my heart that The Hunger Games left. It is really, really good.

I just finished the cozy mystery Loose Screw by Rae Davies. Highly entertaining! Lots of humor, quirky/likable characters, and a hot detective.

Stephen King freak here. Just finishing The Wolves of Calla, again. Probably starting IT after I'm done. When I get my NC, I'll be dumping about 175 books into it from my other tablet.

I've got 11/22/63 ready to read, but I'm waiting until Christmas break to do it. I'm *so* looking forward to the holiday now, lol. I'm currently reading the first book in the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs and am loving it so far!
Straight to **** (Book one in the Lilith Straight series) The moment Lilith Straight dies, the Devil appears to claim her soul and cash in on a longtime family curse. Now, Lilith has no choice but to work for him. The job is bad, the boss is worse, and she can’t imagine how she’ll explain her new reincarnation to her eight-year-old daughter. But then an arrogant, yet oh so yummy, incubus shows up…and **** heats up just a little more.
