Angry A really Great Quote from a line in a book you read?

Have you ever come across a line in a book and it just jumps out and grabs you. They are far and few between, sort of like finding a pearl in an Oyster. I found this one the other day, from Stephen Kings book "The Long Walk"

."If you are a sixteen year old boy, you can't discuss the pains of adolescent love with any decency anymore. You just come off sounding like Ron Howard with a hard on"

Is that FRICKIN AWESOME OR WHAT?

As a Stephen King fan, I totally agree with you!!

One of my favorites also comes from a Stephen King book, WIZARD AND GLASS (Dark Tower Book IV)

"Kill if you will, but command me nothing!" the gunslinger roared. "You have forgotten the faces of those who made you! Now either kill us or be silent and listen to me, Roland of Gilead, son of Steven, gunslinger, and lord of ancient lands! I have not come across all the miles and all the years to listen to your childish prating! Do you understand? Now you will listen to ME!"

    Again, pure Stephen King awesomeness!

Not so much a quote as a passage. - William Gibson's explanation of "jet lag" - (page 1 from Pattern Recognition)

She knows now, absolutely, hearing the white noise that is London, that Damiens's theory of jet lag is correct: that her mortal soul is leagues behind her, being reeled in on some ghostly umbilical cord down the vanished wake of the plane that brought her here, hundreds of thousands of feet above the Atlantic. Souls can't move that quickly, and are left behind, and must be awaited, upon arrival, like lost luggage.

There's a lot to choose from in the latest book I just read but this was one of my faves from Ryan Rossell's THE LOTTERY LOSER:

This girl should be kept in a "non-aging" chamber at a museum so men for generations and generations can appreciate her. Anyone who doubts God's existence should meet this girl. They'd find religion on the spot.
