    Default Favorite Monster?

So you're the only one awake in the house because you've stayed up late reading a book. Maybe it's an old favorite, or something new. It's very quiet and all of a sudden a floorboard creaks. Your bedroom door is closed and you stare at the doorknob, wondering if it will slowly start to turn...

Okay, I can't be the only one who has done that! It's amazing how that reduces me to feeling like I'm 5 years old, and every scary monster I've read about or seen on TV flashes through my mind That may not sound very manly, but it's true!

It got me thinking, what are your favorite monsters from books you've read?

For me, it's Pennywise the clown from Stephen King's It. I've mentioned this in other forums, but clowns freak me out. I would rather go up against zombies, werewolves, anything but clowns.

    Let's hear some of yours!

I've got to agree with you. Pennywise the Clown was my first thought, too.
