So Barnes & Noble isn't the only place to find ePub books, share with us any find (whole websites or one time deals) that are not on the Barnes & Noble website! I will list them for everyone, here in this first post.

Baen Books - DRM free sc-fi books available in EPUB and MOBI
Borders - Books available in ePub using Adobe Digital Editions
eBooks.com - eBooks available in DRM'd PDF, which will work on the nook (so we've been told)
eReader.com - A Barnes & Noble company (Some books DRM'd some not)
Feedbooks - A bunch of DRM free public domain books, really well formatted and available in ePub
Fictionwise.com - A Barnes & Noble company (Some book DRM'd some not)
Gutenberg Project - Public Domain books for free
kobo - Books available in ePub using Adobe Digital Editions
Manybooks.net - DRM free public domain works available for many formats, including PDF, ereader and epub
Powell's - ebooks in several formats, including Adobe DRM'd epub and ereader formats. A little confusingly, they still call ereader "palm reader" format.
Smashwords - Indie author's eBooks for sale, all available in DRM free ePub or PDF format
Sony eBook store - Some books available in ePub, which is compatible with the nook

manybooks.net has public domain works available for many formats, including PDF, ereader and epub, all of which are nook-compatible.
Powell's also sells ebooks in several formats, including Adobe DRM'd epub and ereader formats. A little confusingly, they still call ereader "palm reader" format.

For those who like to price compare, there are also two sites to help:
Inkmesh and AddAll Ebooks. Simply search for a title or author and these sites will tell you who has your book, which formats are available, and what the prices are at each site. In my experience neither site is perfect, B&N books sometimes don't show up when they exist, but it's helpful if you just want to price compare.

Books published before 1929 are avaliable free. Of course you can buy them from B&N, but why if you can already get them.

If you're into Sci Fi & Fantasy, adventure fiction Baen Books has a good presence on the web. Their ebooks are available in multiple formats, including EPUB and MOBI, and all of them are unprotected. No DRM in sight. All very reasonably priced. Baen is very rapidly getting their entire catalog online in digital form and all new books are available in both Dead Tree and digital.

Project Gutenberg is a good site with all the classics and everything else. They have over 30,000 free ebooks available to read.

Baen Books has a large library of free SF and Fantasy e-books (along with e-books for purchase) in many formats including PDF and EPUB.

Not sure if this counts, but Gutenberg.org has 30,000 books that are free. Basically the same as Google, but they are cleaned up.
