Ours is a bit of a drive... and gas costs just too high to justify very many visits over the course of a year. This actually was the first time we'd been back since we bought our Nooks last summer!
I agree that there are a lot of books not available in ebook form... though it seems that the vast majority of the ones I am wanting are often out-of-print and not easy to find in paper form either, sigh. But I know what you mean, because some books, like cookbooks, I just like BETTER in paper form. Only I don't really need more cookbooks, because I hardly use the ones I have.
I think partly I was just tired by the time we got to BN and sick of standing on my feet. But I have noticed that where I used to thumb through paperbacks at Safeway, now I mostly just walk on by. It might be a sense of the fact that I have accumulated SO MANY BOOKS since I've gotten the Nook that I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by so much reading material. And yet, I'm thrilled to be adding to my ebook library all at the same time! I guess I am a little weird... but my Nook goes everywhere with me too!
I used to have to lug a couple books around, in case I finished the first one. Now that's no longer an issue! At any rate, at one point I really thought I'd be missing the paper book experience, but it has gotten to where I really don't. Doesn't mean I won't read a paperbook, because I do, if my library doesn't have it as ebook! But they are definitely harder to carry about with me.
