    Default BLIZZARD!!!

Well today I got a package in the mail. I was all excited because I knew it contained flavoring from a company I had never used before. I use the flavoring in my ecig juice.

I was working on the stupid downed Bradford Pear tree that fell across our driveway in last nights storm. So I curbed my excitement and put the package in the house like a good boy and went back to work.

After about and hour and a half I had it all cut up so I put my stuff up and ran into the house. Now I was all hot and sweaty so I turned the high velocity fan on HIGH and sat in front of it and pulled my package to me. Soldier Girl (my pit bull/boxer mix) being a curious dog came and sat right behind me and was looking over my shoulder.

Good grief this box was wrapped up tighter than Fort Knox! So I took a knife and scissors to it and started going to work on it in earnest. FINALLY I had all the tape cut away!!! Happily I threw open the lid to the box!!

Did you know that packing popcorn is really lite weight? Did you know that it is NOT a good idea to be sitting in front of a high velocity fan set on high when opening a box full of packing popcorn?

This is just a heads up for everyone. Soldier Girl ran in terror at all the white stuff flying at her. LOL!

Well, I have to say that it did surprise me. I was covered in those things and so was the bedroom. Man they are annoying when they go on the attack and swarm you like that. They cling to you every where. Every time I think I have found the last one I go back into the bedroom and another is lurking. LOL!

Soldier Girl still has not gone back to the scene of the overwhelming.

I'd have loved to see your dog running from that, LOL!

Those Bradford Pears are a pain. They're so leafy that they are like giant sails when it gets really windy out, and they catch the wind. Which forces the soft wood to split. And their flowers smell awful in the spring. I am sort of prejudice...When I was still living with my parents, one of ours fell on my car. Because of wind.

Yup, thats a Bradford Pear tree. I hate them, Wife loves them. 2 weeks of pretty flowering for a lot of work through out the rest of the year. I told the wife that as they break across the driveway the ones that do are history. 4 of 12 down.

*gasp* That had to have been a pain to clean up... But the image of that is pretty hilarious

Too funny, Robert. But you sound like my husband as far as cutting down trees, your wife's favorites, no less. He's always threatening to cut down our bougainvillea tree. Granted, it does need trimming often and it has needles that stab. But, oh, it looks so pretty in bloom.

Move to 8,000 ft. We have pine trees. Ponderosa, lodgepole, and that's about it. A few aspen here and there. A fir tree or two. No leaves, not crashing branches. No grass to mow. Of course we also have 120 mph winds (right this very minute in fact), 4-5 feet of snow at times and almost no humidity, so it's not exactly perfect. But still, no leaves to rake!

Joyce, it does sound like your husband and I have similar mortal enemies. I think you women find these homes with our enemies on purpose. LOL!

nookreader, MMmmm... a choice of my acre to mow and take care of (used to be cow pasture so it grows to fast and well) coupled with those hated trees...

    your climate, snow and winds...

tough call for me to decide where I would rather be.
