    Hi, sPACEYE!
I just wanted to THANK YOU for that post. I spent like hour or more trying to figure out how to make my SONY Reader PRS600 to be nice enough to read Cyrillic books and I almost gave up. And then I found your tutorial and well, it worked. The only things that didn't get converted are the titles of fairytales( ), but this is not a big deal. Everything else is readable. And I'm so very happy with this
So thank you and have a great day/night

Apparently, the problem was that chapters had font-variant:small-caps; property in corresponding css styles (initial css -> calibre processed final) and Liberation font doesn't support small-caps hence ? chars. So beware of this little problem.

It doesn't work. Tablet Journ.E Touch still doesn't show Polish custom letter like ż, ą, ł, ć. Is there some solution for that?

For me to work I also selected embed all fonts in the document which is on the Look & Feel tab:
    Capture.PNG

Also I had to choose on Look & Feel ->Styling tab, down in the bottom of the page:
    Capture2.PNG
