    Default I read this book

I saw that a new book club was forming on nookboards and the title caught my eye, “The Twenty Dollar Bill”. How could anyone write a book about a bill? Reading the review a little further: “…Follow the path of a twenty dollar bill as it is stolen, given, spent or otherwise passed from person to person, traveling from place to place…..”

It downloaded with no problem. So I decided to read a little. It didn’t take long before I was hooked. I guess you could say I cheated. I didn't wait for the book club, I read the entire book, I couldn't stop, I wanted to find out what character was waiting to receive the twenty dollar bill.

As the twenty moved along from person to person you get a glance into that person’s life. This was a clever technique that the author, Elmore Hammes, employed to introduce you to all types people. Some were shady, some you would like to meet and become friends, others……interesting.

What a pleasant surprise. I loved this book. Give it a try, you too might get hooked. :thumbs up:
    My search continues.....

    Thanks for the positive feedback!

I encourage you both to still participate in the book club once the questions get rolled out after the first week of March. This is the kind of book that reading ahead shouldn't detract from the discussions from week to week.

    Thanks, Anne!

Even if you have finished it, I hope you check in once a week or so to participate in the weekly questions.
