Oh my my....this is not good. Someone needs to stop Nina....and Pallin.
Of course we know who that will have to be
Why is wine so potent for these folks?
Physiology. They're not human. And in Broken Wings, you get to experience some of their world, so you do learn it's very different from Earth.Originally Posted by PFMdg
Ahhhh, interesting Melanie. So is Broken Wings the continuing love story of Raea & Elis?
And back to topic....it is bothering me that while Debbie has been so meticulous about managing everything to protect Raea that she did not more emphatically express that alcohol was off-limits. The impression from Raea's side is that her Aunt refused to let her try wine much in the manner of the parents of many "normal" teens.
Once Raea knew she was "different," would she not question all parental-type edicts in a more circumspect light???
Also, must add, very nice manners on Raea's part to go do the break-up in person. I imagine that is usually handles by text in today's world...although bad for the plot-line.
Can you tell that I read this in one straight shot?It was hard to force myself to stop!!!
The funny thing is that my parents actually would let us try wine but never have a lot until we were older. Every family is different, but I grew up on a farm in an area where getting together with friends usually involves alcohol. My husband and his friends, though, never drank--never had an interest, unlike his sisters. Back to the story--Raea's cousin David...I could see him partying and drinking and Debbie having a fit about it and grounding himOriginally Posted by PFMdg
