Default Blog series about eBook formatting

I just wanted to let everyone know that for the past weeks I have been running a detailed series on my blog, explaining how to create professional quality eBooks. If you're interested, feel free to stop by. Here is the latest entry in the series

By comparison, creating professionally formatted eBooks is as easy as burning a marshmallow over an open fire.
I had to laugh out loud when I read this. Very good first installment and I look forward to reading the rest of them while I goof off at work this afternoon.

Seriously, though, I do agree with you completely. Nothing puts me off an eBook faster than poor formatting and dumb mistakes like typos.

I'm sorry, I should have let you know about this much sooner, as the series developed, but I was never sure which forum to post it in. Wither way, I hope you guys will find it helpful.

I'm gonna move this to the Author's Nook since that area seems more appropriate.

Guido, you're 'blog series has a lot of really good info about properly formatting eBooks so I made this post a sticky so other authors can find it easier. Your posts have already allowed me to get properly formatting for some Word docs I had lying around.

Do you plan on doing a post that deals with creating a linked table of contents?

Yes, it will most likely be part of the next installment when I bring the HTML source file into Calibre and build an actual book. I will then show how you can use Calibre to automatically build a linked TOC for you.
