During this year’s play-offs and Super-Bowl each and every team I rooted for lost. Each and every one.
That's why I promised myself to root for the Saints, so they would lose, too. Halfheartedly I rooted for them during the first quarter. But then I thought it was safe to root for the Colts, whom I actually wanted to win. I mean, come on, they were leading 10:0. You know the rest. I’m really truly sorry. cry

I now accept offers from all NFL teams for the upcoming season and Super-Bowl XLV for NOT rooting for them.

The worst thing about this: now the Packers are doomed for a long time. I just can’t help myself.  wink

It's not your fault, it's just the Indianapolis Chokes living up to their reputation of choking!  How many times have they been to the Super Bowl, and how many times have they won?  Trust me the odds were against them despite all the predictions to the contrary!   tickedoff

What ever you did do it again next season! I've been waiting 35 years for last night, and I'd like to see my Saints do it again in my lifetime.  afro

Hey just think... it could be worse... you could be a Bills fan (like us) and root for a team that went to the superbowl 4 times IN A ROW... and never won... and hasn't made the playoffs since 1999...and by the looks of it... won't make it until 2020, if then lol

Or a Lions fan. Contrary to any rumors they actually exist. They might be on the endangered-species-list but they are still around. (As if that city hadn't suffered enough). I saw some just a little over a year ago.

Keep up the good work!  afro  Pats fan here, and if I can't cheer for Brady, then I'm rooting against Payton Manning.  Silly sports rivalries, I know.  I would have liked to see the Chargers get there vs. NO this year--I went to high school with Jacques Cesaire, one of their DE.  Actually, I cheered for him (literally, I was a cheerleader) my freshman year, and cheered with his sister my senior year.  How cool is that?

I know exactly what you mean about rooting again Payton Manning, although since he is the son of NO's own Archie Manning I do have a soft spot for him.

I'm fond of telling people my two favorite teams are the New Orleans Saints and any team that plays the Dallas Cowboys.

Michael

New Orleans was such a feel-good story, that I think even Colts fans ended up being glad for them. Of course, it helped that Indy won a couple years ago.

A little late, but whatever.....
My cousin grew up in Indy.  She went to Purdue, where Drew Brees was QB and took them to the Rose Bowl.  So she was going to be happy either way!
