I'm wondering if anyone has heard the latest about when we can expect version 1.3. I've heard through the grapevine that there will be a release in March and it will focus on improving the battery. Any other rumors?

Don't know if this is what you are talking about, but I spoke with customer service today re freezing issues.  They tell me that a new software update is expected to be rolled out mid March. (In the meantime, to help with freezing issues, I'm told to put "airplane" mode ON.  You won't be able to shop in this mode but it will control the freezing until the new update is available.)

Sadly, my nook has just started freezing a good bit and I always have airplane mode on. Doesn't seem like that's the answer after all.

Try defragging it and see if it does any better. You also might try removing everything off to your PC and delete everything on the nook and then move everything back. WHat I mean by deleting everything is the books behind the folders. Don't delete your folders just the stuff behind them.

Thanks, Kevin! I will give that a try tomorrow. I've been so accident-prone today that I fear what I might do to my poor nook.
