Default "NOOK Tips" and Percentage Read

Couple of Newbie questions. Is there a way to remove "NOOK Tips" and "Your New Nook" from my Daily once I've read them? It shows these documents as being in the "my documents" folder, but I only have the stuff I've uploaded in there when I check.

Also, is there a way to get it to show how much of a book you've read by percentage? I've looked all over the nook for the settings for this, but I fear that this can't be done.

    Thanks.

#1... I don't believe so (and if I am wrong, somebody speak up!). A lot of us would be right behind you doing that if we could.

#2... I believe that the only indicator is the Page x/y that is generally available when you're reading a book.

Sorry for the negatives on both questions.

Yeah, I looked around a bit before I asked and I couldn't find anything either, so I was sorta expecting a no on both, but I was hoping someone with more experience might know. Thanks anyway.

however it is nice to have that X/Y simply because it actually keeps up with pages.. build your own percentage if you need
it'll be just as accurate as taking it from the DTB version
