    Default Like watching paint dry;)

I'm charging up my nook, which has been holding a charge MUCH longer than it used to, no doubt thanks to some of the recent software upgrades. I've got a brand new $75 gift card burning a hole in my pocket (thanks Mom and Dad! They gave me the GC and a gorgeous Oberon cover for my 50th). And just discovered there's a new Faye Kellerman mystery out on the B&N site.

My nook can't charge fast enough. I'm so bored without it!

Why don't you read while it is charging?

Well I don't have an electrical outlet near where I like to sit and read (my house is kind of old and outlets aren't plentiful). I did read briefly while charging it, but it wasn't in a comfortable place to sit.

Now it's all juiced up and ready to roll!

This reminds me of when people were asking Einstein if he could explain the strange world of relativity to the layman. He said “Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity.”

I know what you mean. I have several extention cords strung together. I can read just about anywhere in the house I want.

I'm curious though, I usually hook mine up to the laptop and charge it will I surf the net (and hang out on nookboards..lol) but my question is: if you read/use the nook while it's charging does that make the charging take longer or not charge as well?? I know if I sideload and stuff to my nook while it's hooked up it doesn't charge very well, so I'm curious about the wall charge situation, if it's the same way. ??

i would think (not a techie LOL) that wouldn't be relavant because you don't use a whole lotta juice reading
