    I thought the cut out was pretty silly myself but it's starting to grow on me. At the very least it gives me a quick visual reference on the location of the home button as I spin the thing around in browser mode.

    I haven't skinned my Nook Color, but I do keep it in a case (M-Edge Latitude Jacket) because it's easier to hold in the case. When I've read on the NC without the case, the corner cut-out is where I put my left thumb as I support the NC with the palm of my hand.
