Default Publishing with B&N for the Nook

    Hi all,

I am trying to find out how to get books published on B&N. I know they have the PubIt platform which is great, but i work for a small publishing company based in the UK and it doesn't seem to be possible to do it from across the pond here!

Is that so? Is that always going to be so?

We publish primarily children's books which will obviously be great for the Nook Color, many are already on the Ipad and Kindle. No one can deny the Nook is also a good platform, but if we can't publish on it we have to pass it by!

    Any info is most welcome!

I suggest looking at Smashwords, they can cross distribute eBooks onto B&N, Sony, Kobo, Diesel and the Apple iBookstore for you, simply giving you the best option for your pound.

    Website URL is http://smashwords.com

    Good luck.

Hi altworld - yes we are looking more into Smashwords as a vehicle. We are already on the Apple bookstore and Kindle bookstore.

Hi MikFinkel - that was the problem, as I said in the earlier post, Pubit looks great but at the current time you don't seem to be able to do it unless you are a US resident. And we are based in the UK

    Form a U.S. division.
Open a small office for a physical address then set up a computer and access it from the UK.
    Use LogMeIn for instance.
That way you can have a U.S. address and bank account and physical location and spend almost not time here.
And most important for B&N, a U.S. IP address.
