Im tempted. I doubt the battery life will be the 2 month like they claim, but without the LCD suck, it'll definitely last longer. Perl e-ink and touchscreen life are pro's for sure... But 6" screen? I think I'll keep my 3G and just root it, until the (hopefully) mirasol version comes out. And new oberon covers.

I'm pretty sure 6" screen is the same size as the original e-ink Nook.

The screen is the same size as the Kindle 3.

Yep, the screen on the new Nook is the same size as the classic Nook and the Kindle.

I'm super excited. But here's my issue. I just bought a nook last week, but I totally want the touch screen nook.

So, if I switch nooks do I get to keep my books? How does that work? I'm new to the nook so Im pretty dumb.

All of your books are still a part of your library, so when you register a new Nook to the same account, you can download all of your previously purchased books.

I would miss the replacable battery. I know the replacable battery is no longer the norm, but it seemed like if you are the type of person that still has an 8 track or cassette player then this was the device for you.

It appears that the new nook will have the same pearl and contrast as the kindle, which is nice is a really nice upgrade. If my household didn't already have 2 nooks, then I would upgrade in a heartbeat.

This Nook looks like it will be very difficult to skin. The back especially.

I wonder if anyone has "had" to change their battery yet. Mine's a year old and still going strong. I know some people kept a second on hand if they wouldn't be close to a charger.
