    Default upgrading to new version

I have the nook 1st edition, but am really wanting to upgrade to the color, but can't find any info on if B&N does any kind of trade in/ buy back deal where I can get a discount on the color. Does anyone know? Thanks...

No trade in or upgrade deals You could try selling it to finance a new one!

Best Buy has a trade-in program for "gently used" electronic devices, as they put it.

I just looked out of curiosity to see how much a classic nook (3G) in good condition is worth. Only $32.00 in gift cards or $20.00 check. No way would I trade it in for that!

It's like a car or anything else - you'll always get more if you sell it yourself. It's just more of a hassle.
