    Question Newbie question

I just got my Nook ST for Christmas, and today the battery was completely dead. I don't have wifi here, so that's not draining the battery. Am I supposed to be turning it completely off when I'm not using it?

I upgraded from the Classic Nook to a ST for Christmas. As a test, I've left it on (well except for "sleep") and the Wi-Fi on, since Christmas Day. I've finished one book and started another and am at 87% battery charge, so, not sure.

I would charge it up again and monitor. You might also want to turn wifi off on ST (if this is an option in settings) as this could cause drain because device is constantly looking for wifi connection but I don't think this would cause a major loss of juice. You might have a bad battery??

I think it's a faulty battery. After charging for 8+ hours it was still at just 64% charged, and that's charging it with the wall adapter and powered off.

Well, after 12 hours in sleep mode (starting with a fully-charged battery) the battery is at 86%. Looks like I have a wonky battery.
