do you mean a part of the board that that has topic threads that are genre specific or a whole section of the board (like the nook knacks, or nook discussion sections) that is for one genre topics only?

IMHO I think it's good if this board as awhole doesn't get too specific as to where certain threads have to go (i mean more than they already are) because it just gets too confusing and anyone new coming here will feel obligated to find just the right place to post whatever they are wanting and if it's too complicated might not even post at all. I know if I was a newbie I mght be nervous about where to post certain things (i mean right now it's all pretty well laid out and no one jumps down anyone's throat if they post in the wrong area, but newbies won't know that).

That's just my opinion in a nutshell, but I am also interested in what you are proposing (and I have no control over what happens regarding the board) but I'd like to understand more of what you are thinking of.

i think there should be a new link to a new topic board that's just like the Whatcha readin thread.. i just think breaking things down into genre specific would make it much easier to
find book names, or people interested in the same types of books as you, yah know?

Genre threads are always good. Sci/fi thread, mystery thread, etc.

    My two cents...

agreed. so what should we just start a SCI FI thread... Read a good sci fi book lately post here!
Teen Fiction Read a good teen fiction book post here!

i think it would just be easier if it was broken down into genres and such

on having genre threads, but not too specific. Science fiction and fantasy could go together, romance, mystery, etc.

Then again, I totally get what Fireflywishes is saying too. Dunno. Seems to be a few votes for genre discussions. I'd be more likely to hang out with others who prefer SFF than a general audience. On the flip side of that, you never know when something in a different genre might appeal to you.

hehehe you can be indecisive all day. i think that it should just be and OPTION.. not neccesarly a oh you put it up into something else so it's gotta move..

i'm just sayin i wish i knew more than just Becky to let me borrow books i'll love LOL i think breaking it down to genre really would help with that

but like i said ONLY as an option.

I can see where your genre focus might be very popular.

All, why don't you get together and let Rachel know what you want and ask her to set it up.
