One of the best books/series I've EVER read is Stieg Larsson's "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo." It's a 3 book series and is FANTASTIC!

I really need to get around to reading this series.. I've had the first one for months and months but I just haven't started it yet.

Yeah, I saw them on Amazon, which I could read on my phone but I like to be able to go from device to device with my e-books.

    Hello Skottiesgerl,

I see you have The Surgeon by Tess Gerritsen. I just finished it and and am now reading The Apprentice. Excellent books, though a little grisly in places. The Rizzolli and Isles series in the books is less cutesy than the TV series on TNT, which is okay with me.

    I would also recommend:

William Diehl - Primal Fear, Show of Evil, and Reign in ****.

Thomas Harris - Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs

Tom Rob Smith - Child 44. This book is a novel based on the Russian serial killer Andrei Chikatilo.
    Mr. Bill

    Currently reading:

    The Old Testament
John MacArthur's guide to the Book of Hebrews (Bible stuff)
Tess Gerritsen's - Rizzoli and Isles series

While not really thrillers, I've been having a lot of fun rereading Raymond Chandler. Every paragraph just oozes with noir.

Try "The Little Sister" or "The Big Sleep".

I'll second Mr Bill's suggestion of Thomas Harris - double that for Red Dragon

Also you may want to try some Tony Hillerman -- "Skinwalkers" and "The Blessing Way"

Peter Straub -- All the "Blue Rose" novels -- "KoKo" -- "Mystery" -- "The Throat"
    'Eating solid food since 1957'
