I went indie about 18 months ago after a publisher turned down my second book. Now I have several on Nook.
HEMLOCK LAKE and THROUGH A YELLOW WOOD - rural noir mysteries set in the Catskill Mountains.
NO SUBSTITUTE FOR MURDER - a cozy set in a fictional Washington State high school
A PLACE OF FORGETTING - a love story set in 1966 in Arkansas
AN UNCERTAIN REFUGE - a suspense novel set at a wildlife rehab center on the Oregon Coast. The sequel, SEA OF REGRET, will be out soon.
    Have characters, must write.

When Dawson enlists in the army to bring peace to nation divided, Rory’s world plummets into a tailspin. War, distance and time separate them, but nothing can dispel the haunting memories of their love. I'm new to the Nook and have just uploaded my first two titles earlier this week, actually its Sunday...so technically I uploaded them last week. Whatever...anyways...they're there. Somewhere.

    Veil of Civility <--- a full-length novel
Patriots & Tyrants <--- a collection of stories featuring background info on characters in my series

During the Soviet-Afghan War an elite team of operatives were trained in the mountains of Afghanistan. Loyal to the Provisional Irish Republican Army, they were created for a single purpose; to bring about the downfall of the entire British government in one terrifying attack. They were known only by their codename, Black Shuck.

In the years that followed—betrayed from within by the internal power struggles of the IRA—the team members were hunted down. Forced into a battle for their lives, three survived, fading into the turbulent streets of Northern Ireland. To this day, their identities remain a mystery— but nothing can stay hidden forever.

Sometimes We Ran by Stephen Drivick

Our hero had it all: A great job, a beautiful wife, and even a nice car. As he approached middle age, all the comforts of a fantastic life were within reach.

Then the zombies came, destroyed the world, and it all disappeared in a flash.

Now he walks in a shattered world filled with hungry undead, dead towns, and desperate survivors. He is low on supplies, running out of time, and with slim hope of long-term survival.

His long walk to escape the dead is slowly becoming a death march.

Then one day, he meets another survivor. A young, starving former college co-ed walking the other way.

    This is their story.
