Default Hello, Bag End, my old friend...

1st photos from the set of The Hobbit as filming finally begins

In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.

I can't wait!! I was working a 2nd job at a movie theater when LOTR came out, and we used to sneak in and watch the end of the movie while we were working.

I know! I'm so glad Peter Jackson went ahead and decided to direct after del Toro had to pull out. I was looking forward to seeing what del Toro would have done, but there is really only one director for a Hobbit movie, and that is Peter Jackson.

I saw this and can't wait, but I know it will be done right. I wish they weren't breaking it up into two movies, though.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. I'm so excited for The Hobbit movie, especially since Peter Jackson is doing it. I loved LOTR.

I can't wait to see Hugo Weaving singing, as that was all Elrond did in the Hobbit.

I won't be able to get that image out of my head the rest of the day.
