    Default Favorite Humor Books

For Travel, I'd go with Bill Bryson "Neither Here Nor There"
For Politics, PJ O'Rourke's "Parliament Of Whores"

    Your comedy choices?

You know, my choice is not necessarily considered a comedy in the traditional sense, but it actually made me laugh out loud. It's Steve Martin's Pure Drivel, a compilation of his New Yorker essays. They are hilarious.

I'd say that isn't pure drivel.

In one of the essays, he writes about Times Roman rationing out periods, so he does the entire, I don't know, four pages or so, without any and only used one at the end. As a word nerd, I was dying of laughter.

I Hope They Serve Beer In **** by Tucker Max. What can I say... lewd, lascivious humor simply makes me laugh.

I have to admit "Sideways Stories from Wayside School" by Louis Sachar is still one of my all time favorite funny books. Even now, I occasionally pick it up and read a chapter, I particularly love Joe's chapter. He reminds me of clients of mine that use Quickbooks.

On the adult side, I like "The Sweet Potato Queens" by Jill Connor Browne.
