My Friend Miranda is a cracker of a book. I really enjyed this tale of new friendships and the complexities of dynamics within a new-school setting. I read it as a book first of all and I saw it is now available for Nook, so I downloaded it straight away.

It's here.

I'd say a suitable audience would be [broadly] female and might best be appreciated by those between the ages of 20 and 50 (possibly also younger girls might like it to find a parallel life to their own, but I'm not sure).
