    Default Nook Dock

Anyone else somewhat surprised that there isn't a dock for or holding your nook? A nice handy stand that you place your nook into to charge? Seems a no-brainer to me. maybe it's time to invent and market one? I can see it now:

"New! Nookboards-brand Nook-Knack! a beautifully designed nook for your Nook! Designed to look like a hand carved wooden book-end this clever device holds your Nook securely while charging your favorite B&N eReader. Display your passion for eBooks while charging up for your next reading adventure! Now in mahogany and oak!"

    Lets get to it people!

    You mean, something like this?

    Get it here:
    http://www.amazon.com/Bookgem-Book-H...4795291&sr=8-1

    Or here:

    http://www.bookgem.com/home.htm

Though, buy at your own risk, I'm not sure if it's dimensions will fit nook.
Check the nooklet I created: http://nookdevs.com/Nooklet_applications
    (Hangman and currency converter).
    Hope you like it!

Those ones hold the ereader, but i don't think they have a stand that charges it yet. Hence the docking station idea.. lol

Certainly looks like a charging cord coming out of the bottom of that kindle to me

It's HOLDING the Kindle while the Kindle charges normally.. I think the original poster (and what I'm talking about at least) is a docking port, where you put the the nook/ereader into the the holder and it charges it for you without, so the docking station would have to hook into the ereader itself.

Firstly, hello everyone (new member here)
Just browsing the boards and I saw the Bookgem referenced above. If it helps, I got mine a few weeks ago and it fits my nook perfectly. The nice thing is that you can hold the nook on the top or bottom (giving you a shallow or steep angle to view it at). The bottom mount is shown in Atomix's picture. Plus, you can fold out just one leg to stand it on an angle (for bedtime reading).

I was pleasantly surprised to see that it lived up to all its claims (from the website video). Anyone looking for a book or nook stand would do well to check it out (the intro video on their website). Oh, just one thing - if you do get it and want to do a top mount, just don't flip out the fold out platform as it blocks the nook power button (you'll know what I mean) - you don't really need it anyway since the nook's not resting on it.

This looks like a nice forum. Hope to have some good, constructive discussions on here

I've got the BookGem and it holds the Nook (outside of a case) very well.
