    Default Recommend a Waterproof Case?

    Hi folks,

Do any of you have waterproof cases? I'm getting Mom a Nook for Christmas, and I know she'd get a kick out of reading it in the tub, but I wouldn't want her to get it wet (or electrocute herself *g*).

If you have a waterproof case you'd like to recommend, I'd love to hear about it!

    Thanks!

I too have the Trendy Digital and it has been to the Atlantic and the Gulf and poolside as well. Works great to keep water and sand out

@ GW: Welcome to NOOKBOARDS and I am not sure if Mom is getting a Nook 'Classic' or NC.

If it is a classic, within this link is a list of waterproof cases: https://www.nookboards.com/forum/inde...sg8840#msg8840

I've also given you a list of posts I searched and found info on Aquapac cases for - That's another player in that market: https://www.nookboards.com/forum/inde...action=search2

i have a trendy digital and got the 'kindle dx' size for my nook so i don't have to take the cover off to put it in the waterproof case. it works great, though after six months the case developed a hole. trendy digital says they warranty against manufacturer defects and don't typically replace cases that are damaged due to general use and wear and tear, but they'll replace mine. i'm happy they're replacing it, but i use the thing maybe once every two weeks or so, so i'm pretty sure that my using it every other week for six months shouldn't put a hole in it.

before the hole, however, it worked quite wonderfully.

I put mine in a double zip gallon-size freezer bag for reading in the tub

It works pretty well, though I have my doubts it would be truly waterproof if I dropped it into the water.

Has anyone found a way to use the Nook Color around water? When you put it in a plastic bag there doesn't seem to be a way to turn pages.

    Edit:

I see that Trendy Digital has 2 of them:

    http://trendydigital.com/index.php?m...index&cPath=30

But I still don't see how it will work to turn pages. Has anyone tried this? I've tried it with a Ziplok bag and it won't turn pages since I need to actually touch the screen.

I would love to read my Nook Color in a hot tub or bath tub and haven't figured out how to protect it from splashes or the high humidity.
