it clips on to my nook perfectly but it's so large and bulky (and i can't keep up with it ) so i'm just curious how durable the case is

i have a JAVOedge case that i just ADORE it's perfect for my nooks lifestyle very durable. it gets tossed around in my purse so much but my nook hasn't suffered in the least
    Hiyah Ragdoll,

The cover is actually pretty durable.
Id say at least as durable as a hard cover book..
But it is a bit more "flexible" than a hard cover..

So, if you were to take a hard cover..
and attempt to bend it in half...

it would "snap" or "crease" before giving some "leeway".

    where as, with this cover..
it wants to "snap back" ,almost like rubber.

    I mean..
I could bend it in half if i really wanted/tried...
but it would probably just end up "curved outward" rather than creased or snapped/broke.

I also have a kitty who is BIG/FAT~ (15 lbs @ least), last I checked.
and he always feels the need to jump up to where ever I am..
    and at least twice now..
I have heard him jump up on the bed, or on the coffee table..
    and looked over..
and there his big butt is..
standing right on my nook! lol

Cover always closed over it of course..
but even with his 15+lb rear end standing on it..
    has done no harm. lol

    I love this thing..
I just wish it had the same kind of cover to go over the back of it.
Then it would be perfect! lol

The outside of the cover has a nice, smooth, leather-y, rubber-y, "industrial" , elegant feel to it..
and the inside feels like soft suede-ish , or velvet-y feeling 'foam' of sorts. (sorry for my bad descriptions). lol

It takes *A-Lot* of pressure just for me to be able to feel a finger trying to push through it..
    (just tried)
It actually might be more durable than I thought a few minutes ago...

My brother does some "knife throwing"..
using trees /homemade targets as target practice..
and i think if he were to try to 'throw a knife' into this cover..
It would bounce off before it stuck in.
a bit more "oomph" would be required.... than is required to stick one into a tree. lol
    (bad examples again), mybad.
    I just woke up. lol

hahah! you describe things like i do. so it works for me now the leathery rubbery feel do you think it would grip things such as sand and tobacco?

    haha!

    well,
I don't have much sand around..
but there is often tobacco and other herbals around my nook..
but none of it ever "grips" to it..
it's not that kind of rubbery feel..
not like a rubber gripper meant to keep something on a desk (or like tire rubber)..
but more smooth, and less "grippy".

    hmm...
    lets see..

if you were to push, and rub your finger up the smooth side of a car tire..
your finger would feel some resistance, as the rubber "grabbed" it..
this is not like that at all.. it's a different kinda "rubbery". lol
and it wipes clean very easily.

i cant imagine sand or tobacco being any problem.
I am sure sand would simply "blow off", with a light breath.
