Default Soft Root. Micro SD card type? Should I wait to root?

OK, So i can root tonight, by "borrowing" my daughters micro sd card. I have ordered my own from amazon.com.

Should I wait till my new one comes in? Can I root, and then remove my daughters micro SD card? Or will files needed remain on my daughters micro sd card?

    Thanks!

You can root, and when done go ahead and delete the file from the card. It is not needed after its been rooted.

You can delete the file and remove the card. Whenever I need to root I just temporarily use the one from my blackberry and then put it back in my phone after I'm done.
