    Thank you for the welcome!!
Hope the info (particularly the BAT file trick) helps people out..
One question tho.. Where are some sites to find apps for rooted nook classics? Seems like all the focus is on the Colors now.
Oops.. one more.. Any apps that are particularly cool? I'd like to find a Library (or My Books) app, that allows organizing by shelves, then only shows the shelves until you open one... I kinda dont like how cluttered it looks with the big list of books displayed...
    Thanks!!

Hello! thank you for your welcome and your answers!
After the.html loads i go connected by attemping 10 times in a row... it feels like there is a tima gap where the command works... maybe just a second.
I have one question... if i reboot my device.. Do i have to push that file inside my nook again?
I have this problem of not being fast enought to reconnect en execute the next command. I have created the .bat file but i can't execute it on my terminal (Mac osX) maybe i can use a script?

    thank you

    2 things..
    1. Yes, after you run the RATC.bin, if you reboot you'll have to go through most of the steps again. You can skip pulling init.rc, and skip pushing ratc.bin.
    2. I assumed (sorry) that you were on a Windows machine... Not sure about Mac's but a script sounds right. Anything that lets you automate a set of commands.
    Good luck!!

Here you can see the permissions of the / dir . I have been hable to write not only ratc.bin but also the modified version of init.rc to the /sqlite_stmt_journals directory I have tried to /system/bin/mv init.rc / but cross link problem... I have also tried a /system/bin/cat init.rc > /init.rc but I get permission denied.... maybe dd ? Any help welcomed =)

I have rooted the thing (serial 10111XXX... firmware 1.5.0).

Thanks to this clear page http://nookdevs.com/User:Neilk

Kasey511, What you need to do is:

    1) Once you get adb connected using the browser exploit , push ratc.bin to /sqlite_stmt_journals
    2) chmod 0777 ratc.bin on the nook
    3) run ratc.bin on the nook
    4) Do the browser exploit thing again to get connected again (I think I tried more than 16 times to get it)
    5) Once connected after the ratc.bin you can fastly push the modified version of init.rc to /
    6) Once pushed =) you are done... you will have to turn off the nook and once up again you can simply adb connect beeing root #

    Good luck
