Default Newbie enough to have a probably crazy question

When you go to the Barnes and Noble website, go to your account and look at your nook library.
Next to each book , there is a click to download button. Now my books are all on my nook and working
perfectly so is this still something I need to actually do.

It is not necessary for you download the eBooks unless you want to archive them on your computer.

an extention of that answer, some people don't bother with the BN library really and just sideload everything they purchase into my documents directly. Also if you use a program called Calibre which is a great program for organizing your e-library any info you'd like on that can be found https://www.nookboards.com/forum/index.php?topic=6601.0

sorry if that's an info overload haha
