    Default Touchscreen timeout

I think the touchscreen should light up without the need to press the nook key if there is a prompt. Currently, the screen will go dark even if you need to press Cancel or OK. I think that should be prevented. What do you think?

I completely agree, I think it's not very efficient for the screen to go black when you still have something to do on the screen, then you have to try to wake it up etc.... Seems like that should be a simple fix, hopefully they hear about it.

Did it help any by setting it at 60 secs instead of 30 secs? It does seem like there would be an option to leave it on longer if you wanted.

Yes, I have a hard time deciding. 10 seems like too short but both 30 and 60 seem too long. For some reason, when you are waiting for it to go away those few seconds seem like a long time. The problem isn't the time limit but the fact that it goes off while there is still a decision to be made. The screen should remain lit until all required prompts have been answered.

Exactly, however, after a bit of consideration I think I should amend that enhancement request to be:

The screen should remain lit until all required prompts have been answered or the device enters sleep mode.

Wouldn't want to drain the battery if you left it waiting for an answer. I know you'd think this probably goes without saying but...

Sadly you are right, that may not go without saying ......

Or maybe have different shut off timers for when you are reading, and when you are not? So I could put 10 seconds for reading and 60 seconds for when I'm not .....
