I have been having trouble with my WiFi due to my schools security. They told me the nook is not set up for the security they have. If I root the device, do you think this can be fixed or no?

Well. The thing is, the Nook is really terrible with WiFi, and I just don't understand why. They keep pushing out updates for it, and they're still not fixing the problem.

If you decide to root it, it MIGHT fix your issues because you will be able to load apps that will help you hold on to your WiFi connection. I actually have issues with my WiFi right here at home, and I've downloaded Spare Parts and WiFi Lock, and had moderate success with both. My connection still craps out about once a week, but not several times a day like it used to.
