Didn't I read somewhere on here that Marvel is offering their entire library for free browsing while in a Starbucks? I have been meaning to check it out on my Nook Color but I haven't been in a Starbucks since January.

I hate it when they reboot stories or change back stories. It's a slap in the face to the classic fans.

I am keeping a very close watch on the digital comics news. I was an avid comic reader/collector as a 10 year old. I was not that big into the super hero comics, but rather the horror comics
    Werewolf by night
    Tomb of Dracula
    House of Mystery
    House of shadows
    Tales of the macarbe
    Eerie Tales
    Tower of shadows
    The Witching Hour

The list goes on. Those horror comics of the 70's were some of the scariest stories I have ever read. I would be willing to spend big bucks to get some of those in digital format. I've had the ipad2 since April and am waiting anxiously for the news of their pending release...........

I know you can get Tomb of Dracula through the ComiXology app on the iPad. It's not the full run, yet, but they are there.

Oh... I don't know that I would consider it a slap in the face. But it is kind of annoying if you're someone like me who's trying to catch up on some of these big stories from the past decade and just as I'm getting a handle on all the new characters and stuff they want to be changing it all again.

I just read the 1st issue of Flashpoint and I hope the change to Batman in that mini series isn't the direction DC is going with that character. I'm definitely not gonna be pleased with that.

    Michael

The problem I have with the reboots is that it makes the older stories irrelevant. I enjoy continuity and I'm less likely to read back issues if the stories hold no relevance to the characters current standing.

Hey Klaatu (Michael) ---- see if you can get a digital comic section in the nookboard forums--- that would be great for the comic book lovers.

In all fairness Blizzard didn't innovate the whole "alter our entire universe" concept. Then again neither did Marvel or DC...

Marvel renumbered their major series several years ago only to switch to dual numbering (where issues displayed both their "new" number as well as the actual number) before finally reverting back to the original numbering. DC once did a whole "Zero Hour" promotion where every major series had an issue "Zero" crammed and then resumed standard numbering the next month.

Casual collector's like to collect first issues, and complete-ists have a difficult time starting a collection at #517. This will cater to both...but for those of us who are looking forward to Detective Comics Issue 1,000 it could be a stunning and final defeat.
