Re: Nook deletes all your files?

I had what I thought was a similar problem. I went to "My Documents" and noticed that the vast majority of my books were not listed! I went back and forth trying different things and finally just...
  2. Re: Unable to browse My Library after update to 1.2

I am having the same issue and I saw this solution on another thread, but it didn't seem to work. I tried deleting the files from my SD card and reloading them and still had the same issue. Now, I...

    Re: Version 1.2 is sloooow

Well, I may have found the problem. It seems that if books in the "My Documents" folder are in subfolders, my nook won't read them. If I just place the raw ebook file there, then it seems to work.

    Re: Version 1.2 is sloooow

    Evergreen and Becky,

I had the same problem with "My Documents". Were your documents stored on the SD card or the internal memory? When I had the SD card installed, "My Documents" went to the...

    Re: Almost got the Update!!

For now, if I load everything under the internal "My Documents" folder with no SD card installed, it works. But if there is an SD card, it won't even recognize the internal "My Documents" folder. I...

    Re: Almost got the Update!!

Well, I've tried uninstalling the SD card and re-installing. Same thing...can't access My Documents!!! Interestingly, when the card was out I turned it back on, and the couple of things that were in...

    Re: Almost got the Update!!

I downloaded my update OTA and it installed. I'm having trouble accessing "My Documents". When I press "View My Documents", it goes to the wallpaper page and does not view them. I just confirmed...

    Re: Undownloading Books

My understanding is that if you "Archive" a book, it deletes it from nook but you still have it in the B&N library. You might want to try that.

    Re: Libraries with e-books

That's awesome! I'm with the Carnegie Library and they use Access Pennsylvania! I will definitely have to check the Free Library of Philadelphia out.

    Thanks for the info!

    Re: Libraries with e-books

Hi, hmr28. I'm also in Pittsburgh and saw that the Carnegie Library system only has audio books as you mention. That stinks. I would definitely be interested to find out if using an out of state...

    Re: Whatcha reading?

I have to agree with Kevin's assessment of "Three Cups of Tea". Wonderful book. It really restores some faith in humanity that good people exist that can cross the ever more hardened barriers of...

Re: My Nook is coming early!

It really seems like they are going by order placement. I literally placed my order the moment I heard the shipment date was moved to 1/4 which was the morning of 11/20. I am supposed to get mine...

Re: My Nook is coming early!

I ordered mine on 11/20, right after they moved the expected date to Jan. 4th. So, hopefully, you are all right behind us!

I also received an e-mail last night that nook had shipped. I was part of the Jan 4 crowd too. It looks like it is due to arrive tomorrow, 12/30....yea!!!!! :cheesy:

    Re: USA today Review

I agree with you, Waterloo Joe. This will be my first eReader, but I'm not yet dissuaded. I think the bulk of these issues are relatively easy to fix. I certainly understand wanting to get the...
  20. Re: I have actually held a real nook in my hands!!!

I felt the same way when I first went to my local B&N. They were all so amazed that there was a whole online world and nookboards.com out there. I guess corporate probably didn’t want anyone saying...

  22. Re: My "ships on Dec 14" nook just shipped on Dec 9!

Wow...that's good to hear! Looks they are trying to ship as many orders as possible before the holidays. I am one of the first in line to ship on January 4th so my only hope is that if they ship...

Re: Possible tip? - Read vs Unread

Hmmm...thanks Super C142. I guess I need to understand what "flatten" means. From your description, it certainly doesn't sound useful. Perhaps I'll check out the store demo again. I've got a looooong...

Re: Possible tip? - Read vs Unread

Good tip for the B&N content. However, you can organize all side-loaded content under the “My Documents” folder of nook any way we want to. You didn’t say whether you were speaking from a purely B&N...
  25. Re: I have actually held a real nook in my hands!!!

I went to my local B&N twice yesterday. The first time, at lunch, they were just starting to set up the nook cradle for the demo. So, I went back after work. It still wasn't there so I asked about it...
